Khaled Hosseini

Khaled Hosseini was born in 1965 in Afghanistan and moved to Iran, and later France, after which they finally settled in the U.S. A medicine doctor by profession, Hosseini is a Goodwill Envoy for UNHCR and runs his own foundation for humanitarian assistance in Afghanistan. His novel The Kite Runner was a hugely remarkable success that helped him earn a solid place in the prolific writers’ list. His other works include A Thousand Splendid Suns and And the Mountains Echoed, which have helped cemented his talent as a writer.
