Abdul Aziz bin Abdul Baaz

Abdul Aziz bin Abdul Baz was a Saudi scholar of great importance. As there was no established university education system in Saudi Arabia when he was growing up, Ibn Baz studied under a number of briliant and prolific Islamic shoclars. Adolf Hitler

Born in 1889, Adolf Hitler after converting to anti-Semitic views, wrote Mein Kempf (My Struggle) in two volumes, in 1925 and 1926. Allama Iqbal

Allama Iqbal, the most prominent Urdu and Persian poety and philosopher of 20th century, is a national figure in Pakistan. In addition to being the national poet of the country, Allama Iqbal is also called the vision of Pakistan, the first man who dreamed up how and what Pakistan would be. A close associate and ally of Muhammad Ali Jinnah, Allama Iqbal was held in great esteem by both religious scholars and secular philosophers of his day. He has written a number of books on poetry and philosophy, and many of his poems written for children, which are addressed to his Javed, are still used as guiding stars for kids and adults alike. Khudi, a deeper connection to Allah and self-realization are some of the topics which Allama Iqbal has written most on.

Allama Nawab M.Siddiq Hasan Khan was a prominent Islamic scholar and leader of India's Muslim community in the 19th century. Many of his stances regarding some core Islamic issues also rendered him a controversial persona in that time. He is also credited for being one of the first Islamic figures to work towards Indian Independece Movement. His life's work has mostly been in the field of compiling and authenticating Hadith collection of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and he is called the frontrunner in formation of Ahl e Hadees movement in India which became a huge part of Sunni Muslim sect in the region.

Allama Syed Sulaimaan Nadvi was an astounding Islamic historian, biographer, author and scholar. To honor his services to Islam and Indian Muslims, the Aligarh Muslim University conferred on him the honorary degree of Doctorate of Literature in 1940. Amongst many of his authored books and works, Sirat-un-Nabi, which he continued after the death of Shibli Nomani, who died before he could finish completing the book. In addition to Seerat e Nabvi, Khutbat-e-Madras, which Syed Sulaiman Nadvi authored himself, is also a very prominent and celebrated Islamic book.

Allama Waheed uz Zaman

Allama Waheed Zaman was a great Islamic scholar of huge prominence. His most famous work to date is the translation of the Hadees compilations from Arabic to Urdu, and due to this service to Muslim community he is held in great esteem in the South East Asia region. Due to his personal views on some Islamic historical events, he is also considered a controversial figure by few.

Ameer Ali Khan is an Urdu writer most noted for his translation of Kunwar Anil Kumar's book Akbar and Birbal. 

Amna Mufti

Ashfaq Ahmed

Ashraf Ali Thanvi was one of the most prominent Indian Muslim scholar, belonging to the Deobandi school of thought. He was also a strong proponent and close associate of Muhammad Ali Jinnah before and during Pakistan Movement. Atiya Syed is a Pakistani short story writer, novelist and educationist. She appeared on the literary scene in the 80s and wrote extensively on the subject of social inustice, philosophy, pyschology and politics in Pakistan. She also served as the Chairperson of Department of Psychology, and as Dean of Arts at Lahore College of Women. Shehr e Haul, Ghubar, and Hikyat e Junoon are some of Atiya Syed's most prized works.

Awais Raza Qadri is a popular Naat Khawan of present day Pakistan. Though he has no formal training of reciting Naat's, the melody in his voice has gained him a huge following. 

Baba Yayhya Khan is a modern day Sufi and living legend dedicated to spreading the love in Islam to all and everyone. One of his greatest services to Islam is presenting a modern picture of it to the world where anyone can relate to Islam and understand it on their level. Piya Rang Kala is a popular work by Baba Yahya Khan and addresses some fundamental philosphical and Sufi questions in mind.

Badi'-uz-Zaman Syed-al-Nursi

Badi'-uz-Zaman Syed-al-Nursi was an instrumental architect in the modern Islamic revolution in Turkey. His interests did not lie in politics, but in his belief that modern Islamic states can be build on the example of state of Madina that Prophet Muhammad built after Hijrah. Bapsi Sidhwa

Bapsi Sidhwa is a Pakistani writer born in 1938. As a child, she witnesses the bloody episodes that took place at the time of partition of India in 1947. The memories left a lasting impact on her and are still visible through her writings. After living many years in Pakistan, Sidhwa then migrated to America and currently resides there. Her works include Pakistani Bride, The Crow Eaters, An American Brat, Cracking India and many others. 

Benazir Butto was a Pakistani Politician and chairperson of a prominent political party, the Pakistan Peoples Party. She also served as the country's prime minister in two non-consecutive terms. The eldest daughter of politican and statesman Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto, Benazir was hailed and admired as the true political heir of her father. After being thrown out of government in 1996, she lived in self-exile in Dubai. Upon her eventual return to Pakistan in 2007, amid many threats to her life, she was finally assassinated on 27 December, 2007.

Bushra Rahman is an award-winning Pakistani writer, and also a politician. She has written numerous novels and short stories and many of her plays have been dramatized for television. Her famous works inlcude Paarsa, Chaara Gar, Pyaasi, and Lagaan. Television serials Paarsa and Bandhan are based on her famous novels.

Bushra Saeed is a well-known literary figure of present age. She is most famous for her works, like Jazzam, Sifaal-gar, Raqs-e-Junoon and many others. Popular for her sensitive portray of different conflicting social issues in Pakistan, Bushra Saeed is known for her unique character building strategies and an unflinching knack for witty and touching dialogues.

Cecelia Ahern is an Irish writer born on September 30, 1981 in Dublin, Ireland. Her international bestselling novel, P.S I love You was also her debut novel. It also got made into a Hollywood movie starring Hilary Swank and Gerard Butler. The movie and novel, both, generated quite rave reviews and were popular hits. Since then, she has written many hit novels, and has co-created and produced the American comedy Samantha Who?

Daniyal Mueenuddin is an award-winning American-Pakistani author who gained fame for his work In Other Rooms, Other Wonders, a collection of short stories penned by Mueenuddin. He was born to a Pakistani father and an American mother, and spent most of his life travelling and staying between the two countries. In Other Rooms, Other Wonders is inspired by time spent on his farm in Pakistan where he saw the old fuedal system slowly crumbling away and a new set of rules setting in. 

Relin was an American journalist, author and editor and co-wrote The New York Times bestselling book Three Cups of Tea with Greg Mortenson. Apart from this, he was award winning writer and editor and won more than forty national awards for his work. He was also the contributing editor for Parade, and Skiing magazines.

Deborah Rodriguez is famous for her memoirs of her time spend in the heart of Afghanistan, Kabul city. There she owned a beauty school and a coffee shop. Kabul Beauty School: An American Woman Goes Behind the Veil is a narration of her memoirs of the people she came across to at the Kabul Beauty School. Douglas Adams, born in 1952, was a famous British author who was most well known for his work Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy, which eventually turned into a series, as well as a comic book series, a computer game and finally into a feature film. Apart from Hitchhiker’s Guide to Galaxy series, Adams also worked on different other novels, scripts and books. He was also an avid environmentalist and a fan of technical gadgets.

Dr. Abdur Rehman Rafat

Gulzar

Gulzar is one of the most well-known and distinguished Indian poet of present times. A multiple award winning lyricist, he is extremely popular in Indian film industry for his simple, yet glorious lyrics that usually become the reason of a song's success. Qudrat-ullah Shahab
